Still in the Game

Still in the game... These 9 are mostly all done, backing on several and a little beading on a few still need to be done. The other 3 are in thinking (August); collecting and sketching (July); and sewing (June) phases.

April Page Complete!

I finished my April page last night and am already looking through my stash for fabric to begin May. Here's April (with an explanation because otherwise, I don't believe it makes much sens).

Come See BJP Work in Denver, Colorado

If you're in the Denver area, you might want to attend the meeting of the Rocky Mountain Bead Society Thursday evening, April 23rd. I will be giving a Powerpoint presentation about the BJP!

Visual Journaling with Beads, Fibers, Threads and Fabric

View over 200 beaded journal pieces by 42 artists participating in the 2007-08 Bead Journal Project! Compelling and inspirational, this unique beadwork tells stories, reveals emotions and follows important events in the lives of the artists who create a visual journal each month during the year-long project. In this presentation, you will see how the first year of the BJP developed into quite an amazing body of art!

I also posted a progress report for my April BJP, which has some BIG challenges for me!

Back from holiday

I am back from a month overseas (California and Texas) and have completed my october man with december and january on the way. At this stage november seems to be lost in the process but ideas are still coming. I am hoping to update my blog page this weekend - I know it has been a while http://didi-beadwork.blogspot.com/ but snail internet takes me time at home.

Name That Tune 2

G'Day Boys and Girls,
This ol' girl is working rather slowly, it's been a busy few months at work and I have been coming home exausted, too tired to bead and am therefore way behind. I know I'll catch up, I having a couple of weeks off work at the end of February, precious beading time for me and time to kick back and relax.
So on to PageTwo, there are three songs in this one. Hope you have fun guessing!
Here's a teaser and the full pic is on Flickr

Better late Than Never Right?

I am proud, happy and relieved to announce my November BJP page is done! I did this piece as a tribute to all the whitetail deer killed during hunting season. I know hunting has its place and part in the scheme of things. I think a living creature is more beautiful than a dead trophy hanging on a wall. It is here if you would like to take a peek! http://abeadifulmess.blogspot.com/

December

I have not had much time to devote to my project this month, but it is coming along . Hope to be through by next weekend. I really enjoy the challenge and seeing what you are all doing. This is great fun. See my block on my blog.

December

I am working on my December block. It still has a long way to go. You can see it at my blog.
