Almost Finished

I have completed all of my blocks for this challange. I had no idea when I started with a tribute block to my son, that I would lose my husband before the end of the project. My blocks are ready to be put together into a finished wall hanging. I am going to try to get it done very soon. These are photos of them in groups of three. I really enjoyed doing this and loved viewing everyone's work.

It is such a priviledge to see all of your pieces together, to have a sense of who you are and what your life was like this past year. It touches me deeply. Your piece about your husband, with the key and all your love, is more beautiful than words can express. I hope to meet you and see these in person some day. Will you be joining us in 2010??? (I hope so!)

Your work is very inspiring, Betty. I'm so sorry about your husband's death. Your tribute to he and your son are like bookends for your work.

Betty, my heart hurt for you when I viewed your work today. I can't imagine how difficult it must have been to lose two of the biggest loves of your life. I sense your courage and your faith and see that the two angels in your block are still helping you and holding your hands. I think my favorite piece is the woman's head with all of the ideas and thoughts exploding from it. When it snows, I have a similar list of possibilities for the day as well...and feeding the birds is always something I do since I feel like they can't find anything else to eat if I don't. I hope your heart is healing because your work is absolutely lovely. Blessings to you Betty, Susan
