Hi everyone,
Just a few notes about our website.
First, we have redesigned it to make room for future years of the BJP, in case there is interest in doing it again.
Second, April is the 8th month of this year's project. That means when you get your April piece done you can start sending me your images and information so we can get your page on the 2008 Member's Gallery started! Here is the link for "How to add your page".
Third, if any of you have images to complete your 2007 gallery page, this is a good time to do that also.
If you have any questions, concerns, or comments about the website, please post them here. I will answer them as quickly as possible.

Catching up
I finally finished *February* today - I've never been so behind but I'm glad that I took my time and didn't rush so I suppose there's something to say for that. I have a bad habit of rushing and not being happy with my work so slowing down was good practice for me. My February page is here.
F for February and Fab
What? Another doll so soon again?
Well, girls, I have to make it plain:
I was lagging far behind
which was burdening my mind.
So I caught up, feel fine once more
with a new doll to adore.
Please take the time to visit FAB.
(I promise you she isn't drab.)

The first six months
Robin asked me to take a picture of my first six triangles, so here they are. Again, not the best picture (too much sun and too many shadows), but it is a work in progress. BTW, this is my current favourite configuration. I thought that I could add the other six triangles around the outside edge and then alternate with textured fibre pieces. Of course, I'll probably change my mind many times, so stay tuned. The current background is a dark green taffeta from a recycled prom dress. I think that I paid $5.99 for it at the thrift shop. I just love a bargain!

Finally 6 months together
Wow, I can't believe it has already been 6 months. I have all 6 of my pages together in this post along with some comments about each page. There are a couple that still have some finishing touches. and now I need to start on MARCH!
Sheba
Oops - I'm catching up!
I've finally managed to finish September, October and November's pieces. More importantly, I've posted them on my blog. You can find them at feathercreations.blogspot.com where I've posted explanations and pictures.
I've started December, planned out January, have no idea what February's will look like, and have a pretty good idea about March's piece. So after a slow start I should be caught up before summer. [I hope!!].
Cheers,
Mary

Just a comment about display
The funny thing about these little triangles, is that people just can't seem to keep their hands off them. Everyone I show them to, starts arranging and re-arranging them into different configurations. It's kinda like doodling, but with beads! By the end of the twelve months, my head will be so full of ideas that I won't know where to begin. It's amazing what new eyes and experience bring to the equation.
February piece
Yipee! February is a time of celebration. My nephew and his wife (after many years of marriage & doctor's visits) have announced that they're having a baby. While the symbolism in this piece is not obvious, I tried to give it a party atmosphere. Included are painted teabag yo-yo's (Tetley, of course), three shells from an old necklace of my mother's (she's no longer with us, but loved babies so would want to be a part), an acrylic painted washer (for the masculine element), purple pearls (my sister's favourite colour) and a mixture of miscellaneous beads, including hearts and flowers (because I'm rooting for a girl). BTW, the teabags were used, but I did dry and empty them before painting. The picture is a little dark, due to my taking it on a dreary rainy day. I promise to post again when the sun is shining.

March...
My March BJP page is now clickable and hugely enlargable for your viewing pleasure! For some reason the clickable status of a pic is always a mental block for me every time.
Thank you everyone for your wonderful comments!

Still alive
Hello everybody,
I have been beading, a lot, but just didn't find the time to photograph and publish. Or to see what everyone else was up to. But now I did publish December and January on my blog. If you want to you can find it here.
This weekend I am going to designate time to see all the beautifull pages all of you made. Thank you for looking!

March complete
I'm done with March........ I made the whole beading part of it much smaller, but managed to keep the original size of the page. Trying to fill a 6 x 9 page with beads was a task that I certainly did not think through back in August, much less having to deal with chemo brain and a total lackluster feeling on my part. Everyone's work continues to be incredible and thank you everyone, for sharing all your stories. Here's the link to my blog.... oh for heaven's sakes - forgot to put the link in at first!

Big Cat
Healing Doll
Finally finished my January piece. I had a knee replacement January 19th and thought this would be an easy piece to do......NOT SO Started, undid, restarted, undid and so on. Wanted her to look soft, in beiges , and this is how she turned out. Now I just posted her picture before I wrote about her. I don't know what this all means but l will always remember this project . A Fond Farewell
G'Day all,
I'm sorry but I have had to pull out of BJP2009\8 for health/family issues.
I wanted to advise Robin firstly, and I have done that. As ever Robin was understanding and supportive, and I regard her friendship highly.
I couldn't go without encouraging you all, this year's work, thus far, is fabulous.
To those of you who were playing along with the my Name That Tune theme, you will find the results for Name That Tune 2 here.
I will finish my BJP but not within the 'official' time frame and will continue to post the finished work on my Blog - Sister Four
Thanks for your encouragement and support since the inaugural BJP 2007, I have learnt so much and do believe I have grown mentally as well as in my craft since I started following Robin's vision, which has grown more than anyone would ever have imangined.
Cheers all, please don't be strangers!
